- How do I run a hunt?
- Sign in, create an event, add checkpoints with location clues and create teams. Download and print the QR pack, place each checkpoint card at its location, and give each team its join card. Select Go live when everyone is ready.
- Do players need an app or account?
- No. Players open their team join link, enter their name, and use their phone camera to open checkpoint links. They confirm each scan in the browser. Use the same browser for joining and scanning so the team session is available.
- How do routes work?
- Each team receives a seeded, shuffled route when the organizer starts the hunt. Players see their current clue and must scan checkpoints in order. Pausing and resuming preserves progress.
- What does the free plan include?
- The pilot supports up to 3 teams and 5 checkpoints per event, printable cards, polling leaderboards, an optional timer and result exports. Paid upgrades and AI clues are not available yet.
- What happens when the timer ends?
- Further joins and scans are blocked when the event deadline passes. The hourly maintenance job marks expired hunts completed. The timer includes paused time.
- Can I change checkpoints after starting?
- Checkpoint changes are restricted to draft hunts so existing routes remain valid. Teams may be added later, within the event's plan limit.
- How do I download results?
- Open the event dashboard and select Export CSV or Export JSON. Only the event organizer can download results and QR cards.
- Will this work offline?
- The current pilot needs an internet connection. Offline clue caching and a fully installable player app remain planned.
